Actor and resident Hollywood hottie Christ Pratt just upped his attractiveness quotient (again) by showing off his self-deprecating humor on Instagram on Tuesday. The Guardians of the Galaxy and Passenger star appears on the cover of the current issue of Vanity Fair, and a spread inside includes smoldering photos like the one he included in his post.
In the photo, Pratt is casually leaning against a racecar, looking pensively off into the distance. Though the shot works in earnest, Pratt, who grew up in Hawaii, can see the humor in such a serious pose. In his caption, he wrote, “Here’s me waiting for the photo shoot to start. I was like, ‘well guys, I’ll just chill over here by my race car and rub my neck real quick. You know what I’m sayin’.’” We like you, Chris Pratt.
And apparently, so do almost 250,000 of your fans. More than 1,600 people commented too. “Pratt, you are awesome,” one wrote. “Oh hey you like me car….? What do you think ladies? What about my hair???,” another joked. One commenter posted the unfortunate mix-up “PLEASE STOP BEING SO SELF-DEFECATING!!!,” which we’re hoping was also a joke.
But “self-defecating” he is, telling Vanity Fair in his cover interview, “I can make three things. Meat. Omelets. Fajitas,” even as he cooked up wild boar tacos from an animal he hunted himself. He also told his interviewer, “I was a peculiar kid. I was very much an individual. I dressed funny,” but added, “and was comfortable in my own skin.”
No doubt Pratt’s sense of humor and self-awareness are parts of what make him the perfect spouse for comedic actress Anna Faris, whom he married in 2009. The pair have a 4-year-old son, Jack, who undoubtedly inherited the funny gene.
And in case you think Pratt’s adorable humor was a one-shot deal, we leave you with this:
