First he dresses up all in gold for the Grammys, and now this. CeeLo Green wrote a parody song for Beyoncé that’s pretty funny and clever, proving that he knows what it takes to make headlines.

The song, called “Jay Z’s Girl,” is a knock-off of the famous song “Jessie’s Girl” by Rick Springfield, which you’ve probably heard at least fifty times before. We’re guessing that the song was created out of love for Queen Bey, but it’s also possible that Green — who worked on this under the new moniker of Gnarly Davidson — wanted to get a jumpstart on a brand new career path.

It’s definitely an interesting path — we all know that Weird Al made quite a living on parodies. Our big question is, will he be wearing the gold outfit every time he morphs into Gnarly Davidson? Oh, we can only hope.

Watch the crazy video here:

“He’s got all the cash. All I got is a pocket full of ones,” Green — ahem, we mean Davidson — passionately sings.

We have to admit — just like the original, the song is pretty catchy. In fact, it’ll probably be in our heads for the remainder of the week. And we’re pretty sure that this’ll be a new anthem for many guys and gals out there. Jay Z is one lucky guy.

We also like that Green remains pretty respectful of Jay Z throughout the song. After all, Jay Z and Beyoncé have been married since 2008, which is impressive.

Green just debuted his Gnarly Davidson project last month, and from the looks of it, it’s going strong. Since we’ve really missed the music of Gnarls Barkley, this is definitely coming at a good time.
