At this point, nothing Donald Trump says really surprises us — until it does. Last night on The Daily Show, Trevor Noah gave us a peek into “The Chronicles of Narcissism: Tales From the Trump Archive,” from which he showed us a short clip from a 1994 episode of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous with Trump and his wife being interviewed. In the ten-second excerpt, you can witness him objectify his own daughter.

Trevor sums it up nicely: “Back in 1994, Donald Trump was asked what attributes his one-year-old daughter shared with his wife. He could have said anything! And he went with… legs… and possibly… boobs?!”

Yes. That happened. Upon being asked such a simple question about which traits his daughter inherited from her parents, Trump chose to talk about his newborn’s body parts. He said she was beautiful like Marla (his wife at the time). He then said she got Marla’s legs. And then he motioned to his chest and said, “We don’t know whether or not she’s got this part yet, but time will tell.”

Trevor goes through all the body parts Trump could have pointed to instead (including some obscure ones) — her eyes, her nose, even the weird slab of skin between your thumb and forefinger. Literally anything would have been more appropriate and less sexist.

It’s no secret that Trump is wildly discriminatory toward women. He constantly uses words like “bimbo” and “fat pig” to describe women he doesn’t like, and he’s made it clear that he finds the very natural and normal bodily function of menstruation to be disgusting. But to objectify your own daughter? Who was still an infant? Beyond disgusting.

Trevor hit that nail on the head when he said, “We know for sure that there’s no female too small for Trump not to reduce her to her body parts…I don’t even think that Trump was trying to be funny or provocative. It just clearly shows that it’s impulse for him. It’s like word association.”

And perhaps that’s the worst part, that speaking about women in this way is just second nature for Trump. His sexism has no boundaries.
