Jeremy Villasis traveled from his home in Thailand to Malaysia to see the Formula One Grand Prix, in Sepang. Because of the circuitous layout of Formula One racetracks, the events are notoriously difficult to photograph. Ether you are in the right place at the right time, or you’re not. Also, there are often long lulls, when the race has to be stopped, or before it gets started. The promoters don’t want race fans to get bored, and what could be more entertaining than … CLOWNS?
It has been going on for a long time: clowns actually got the huge crowds at the ancient Roman Coliseum laughing before the gladiators were brought in for the main event. Not much to laugh about, after that.
