Flickr photo of the day: A boat for baring it all

One looks at this boatload of tourists near the Greek island of Mykonos and hopes they are nearing their destination. They may be going to, or returning from, one of the famous “secluded beaches” where tourists can offer all their flesh to Helios, god of the sun. Hats and sunscreen accepted.

Granted, wearing a burka or a thawb on a boat may be extreme, but there are other garments to wear to keep from being broiled. There are 22 passengers aboard this caïque and if everything they are wearing were stitched together it wouldn’t make even one large beach blanket. (Well, maybe two.) On the other hand, the water looks gorgeous.
