NYFW kicked off a week’s worth of parties on a heartbreakingly cold evening. The crowds were less fresh-off-the-runway and more Snuggie paired with Uggs and a few hot toddies. (Seriously the temperatures sunk to what felt like a Jack-letting-go-of-Rose-in-Titanic moment.) But it was night one! And it was the V Magazine party! How could we stay home? We couldn’t.

When we stepped inside of Mahattan’s Pacha nightclub for a fete hosted by the mag’s EIC Stephen Gan and famed fashion photographers Inez & Vinoodh, we never thought we’d actually be doing the hustle?

But instead of Olivia Newtown-John, there was the stunning, perma-smiling good girl and current Vogue cover girl Karlie Kloss twirling to Donna Summer’s “Bad Girls” in the middle of the club while a camera crew filmed her every move. Kloss isn’t starring in an E! reality show with BFF Taylor Swift — she was filming a starring role in a music video for disco gods, CHIC. At around 11pm, the legendary Grammy award winning Nile Rodgers hit the stage with CHIC for a set made of disco dreams. Rogers rocked sunglasses and a smile, while the ladies showed off big hair and belted out “Le Freak” after Pharrell’s “Get Lucky.” Fellow lookers Dree Hemingway, Joe Jonas, Constance Jablonski, Brad Kroening, and Bella Hadid spun circles around the looker. The latter, who is the new face of Botkier handbags, confessed she’s been optioned for Tommy Hilfiger and Alexander Wang this week. Looks like her other show, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, will be put on the back burner for now. “I mean, I’m not really on it that much,” she said. “It was more about just to help my mom out. Me and Gigi just do it for her. If she’s happy, we’re happy.”
