Watch the Victoria's Secret Models Get Ready Backstage Before the Show

Before the Victoria’s Secret models hit the runway, they spend hours getting camera ready. All 47 of the women corral into a massive backstage area where hair and makeup professionals transform them from beautiful to drop dead gorgeous.

Makeup artist Dick Page and his team of 30 enhanced the girls’ natural looks and lead hair stylist Akki Shirakawa, also just known as Aki, gave them their signature loose waves — with the help of plenty of hair extensions.
Each model spent about an hour at the vanity for each getting fully done up, about two and a half hours total, and the extra spare time before the show the model’s got touchups here and there.

While this all seems incredibly glamorous, many of the models actually found passing the time — more than half a day backstage — to be tedious. Many of them talked to their boyfriends on the phone, texted friends, and took plenty of selfies.
