Ariel Winter wore a SAG Awards dress that makes it look like someone painted her gold
There were some stunning fashion choices at Sunday’s SAG Awards. We saw a lot of glitter, reds, blacks, and metallics. One of the most glamorous metallic numbers we saw was Ariel Winter’s luxurious gold gown that was so perfectly tailored it looked like someone had painted the girl gold.
It’s no surprise to us that the Modern Family actress went all out in this MIKAEL D creation. Winter is known for her curve-hugging, daring style. The plunging neckline and peek-a-boo cutouts from the lace exterior are what make this dress Winter-worthy.
Honestly, we’re not completely convinced that the dress isn’t just gold leaf strategically placed on her skin.

Gold has been a huge trend we’ve seen on the red carpet this awards season. In fact, Winter’s Modern Family costar, Sofia Vergara, wore another bedazzled gold gown to the Golden Globe Awards, as did pal and Quantico actress, Priyanka Chopra.
We suppose that if you’re going for the gold, you have to dress like you mean it!

Winter’s dress has, in our opinion, the perfect ratio of sexy to modest. We get some serious sexiness from the sheer cutouts throughout the dress. But we’re honestly too caught up in looking at the gold accents to notice the peek-a-boos. The nude mesh that makes up the majority of the skirt shows off Winter’s legs and heels, yet still gives the illusion that she is completely covered by a long skirt and train.
And the simple v-neck in the front and back keeps the overall look simple so we’re focusing on her figure, rather than looking at complicated straps or added accessories.

Winter’s only accessory was her boyfriend, Levi Meaden. Together the pair oozed Hollywood glitz, glamour, and romance.
Note to self: Gold is in in a big way! We can’t complain about a trend that makes us feel like royalty. If you need us, we’ll be bedazzling ourselves in gold sequins à la Ariel Winter.
