It’s official: The sweet gene was passed on to Anwar Hadid. The male model and youngest child of the ever-considerate Yolanda Hadid was spotted in a self-edited Metallica-themed sweatshirt that he made a little sweeter.
Anwar was seen out to dinner with his mom, older sister Gigi, and girlfriend, Nicola Peltz, in New York City wearing an off-white hoodie from Madeworn. The $265 sweatshirt, from Madeworn’s vintage-inspired rock collection, had Metallica’s logo emblazoned on it, with the phrase “Kill ‘Em All” underneath in red.
But what made the sweatshirt stand out was that someone — we’re assuming Anwar himself — took a black Sharpie and scribbled “w love” under that killer phrase, making the otherwise intense statement that much softer.
Only someone from the Hadid clan would take an angry metal phrase and make the effort to turn it into something sweet.
We had an inkling the burgeoning model, who signed with IMG like his older sisters, Gigi and Bella, was the lovey-dovey type. He made his relationship with Peltz official in an Instagram post of him delivering a bouquet of white roses to her, with an emoji-filled caption of puppy dogs and roses. Ahhh, puppy love. Peltz confirmed our beliefs by describing him to WWD as an “angel.”
Anwar, never stop being you.
