Less than 24 hours after Kanye West announced his presidential ambitions on the Video Music Awards, the crafty designers of Etsy have already cranked out campaign merchandise for the big event (or non-event, as the case may be).
Among the most stylish: a varsity-inspired MR. WEST jersey by Lahh-Di-Dah ($32), Solomon Reese’s Napoleon Dynamite reference tee ($32.99), campaign badges for $1.57 each (to go on your Kanye x A.P.C. denim, perhaps?), The Perky Pug’s $10.99 poster in the style of Shepard Fairey, a basic (but not, you know, basic) black Yeezy 2020 sweatshirt, and an earnest white tee that proclaims WEST / SWIFT 2020. (After all, if Taylor can score that many bombs and guns for her “Bad Blood” video, imagine what she could do at the Pentagon.)
But if you want (or don’t want) Kanye in the White House, there’s one way to show your support that won’t cost anything at all. Register to vote and make sure your voice is heard by 2020 and beyond.
