Mother Denim just added another model to its roster of collaborators, tapping Miranda Kerr to design a collection of jeans fit for a supermodel … or a modern type of girl who enjoys good, well-fitting denim.

The key to a great denim piece is its timelessness, and as Kerr tells Vogue, she drew inspiration for Miranda + Mother from women whose style and influence have remained fresh and aspirational through the years. Looking to icons like Jane Birkin, Audrey Hepburn, and one of the original ’90s supermodels, Cindy Crawford, Kerr crafted a 12-piece offering made with women in mind.

Kerr says she wanted her range to uplift women. Between the pieces, some of which include T-shirts emblazoned with positive slogans, and the fact that sales will benefit Sydney’s Royal Hospital for Women Foundation, it seems that the collection is going to do good for women on a few different levels.

Miranda Kerr joins models Candice Swanepoel (whose own collection had some Cindy Crawford references) and Freja Beha Erichsen in collaborating with the label. Among the 12 items Kerr created, there is a denim miniskirt, flared high-waisted jeans, and a fetching cutout jumpsuit we’ll definitely be adding to our wish lists.

We’ll all be on the lookout to see when the collection officially drops, but in the meantime, we’ll be saving our spare coins to scoop up some of these top model-approved pieces.
