Lara Trump was recently hired by the Trump campaign's digital vendor
Eric Trump's wife Lara has had a varied career path. She previously worked as a personal trainer and briefly owned her own business, called Lara Lea Confections, before starting at the television program Inside Edition as a story coordinator in 2012. In 2013, she was promoted to the position of associate producer.
On Wednesday, the AP reported that Lara had been hired as a senior consultant for Giles-Parscale, the digital vendor for her father-in-law's political campaign. She will reportedly serve as a liaison from the company to Trump's ongoing campaign.
She's originally from Wilmington, North Carolina.
Lara Yanuska attended college at North Carolina State University, and received her bachelor of arts in communication media in 2005. Later, she moved to New York to attend the French Culinary Institute. She and Eric met out in the city one night. The couple dated for five years before they got engaged.
Eric and Lara got married in 2014 at Mar-a-Lago.
Right before their wedding, Lara broke both her wrists in a horseback riding accident, and had to wear casts on her wedding day. She made the best of the situation, adorning the casts for the event and embracing the hashtag #weddingcasts on Instagram.
Eric and Lara are expecting their first child in September.
Eric announced the news via Twitter in March.

Hi father quickly congratulated the couple, tweeting: "Congratulations Eric & Lara. Very proud and happy for the two of you!"
Eric had hinted that the pair were ready to start a family last August, when he said, "Maybe when this crazy political race is over, we'll start working on the kid thing."
Clearly, he was serious.
Eric's brother Donald Trump Jr. married Vanessa Haydon in 2005 at (where else?) Mar-a-Lago.
Don Jr. and Haydon, who grew up on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, were reportedly introduced by the President-elect at a fashion show, in 2003.
Vanessa is a former model.
Over the course of her career, Vanessa appeared in multiple television careers, and had a small part in the film Something's Gotta Give. She also previously ran her own luxury handbag line called La Poshett. It is now defunct.
This isn't her first high-profile relationship. Vanessa reportedly previously dated Leonardo DiCaprio.
According to New York Magazine, she was "seen nuzzling Leo" at a premiere party for the film Two Girls and a Guy.
She and Donald Trump Jr. have five children.
They have three boys and two girls together (from oldest to youngest): Kai, Donald Trump III, Tristan, Spencer, and Chloe.
