You know that popular expression “beauty is pain”? Well, it’s obvious—and sometimes taken literally—in fashion; from models teetering in sky-high heels to nip-tuck “enhancements,” like the “human Ken doll” Justin Jedlica, who craves surgery so much that he is determined to be 100% plastic. But fashion can be painfully expensive, too (or some think).

In the February issue of GQ magazine, Pharrell Williams poses as the cover boy, and in a full-length feature adorned in head-to-toe designer clothes (what’s new?) including a furry mink coat by the women’s-only label Céline (the brand is known for its mix of gender, tomboyish clothes). From Céline’s latest pre-fall collection, the coat is trendy with colorful patchwork patterns, looks cozier than a down comforter, and could be the cost of someone’s mortgage at a staggering $67,000.

Céline isn’t the only label producing 5-figure-fashion. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s New York City brand, The Row sold out of their $34,000 alligator backpack online and in stores. Even Kanye West became an accidental culprit when his $245 Air Yeezy Nikes were auctioned on Ebay.com, asking $16 million—yes, million. (Would you rather: Yeezy Nikes or a private island?)

Though, some costly fashion can be justified as art (like couture, where every dress has been assembled by a team of expert ateliers for countless hours), but to Céline, it’s a $67,000 coat.
