5 Fresh Shirt Jackets Made for Transitional Weather

If you live in a climate that frequently dips down to "f*&!, that's cold" temperatures you probably own a shirt jacket or two. And it's probably done in some kind of rugged check or earthy color like rust or olive. For a change of pace and a look that works beyond the lumberyard, we dig model John Swiatek's modern take on the staple. We spotted him at Fashion Week in one that was rendered in a pale lavender color, layered up with the same ultra-masculine staples—a safety orange beanie, tweed trousers, and a puffer coat—you would normally wear with the cold-weather staple. The unexpected color was a breath of fresh air, and the nothing-to-see-here styling kept it from feeling like a gag.
