I don’t actually have the stats to back this claim, but I’m pretty sure everyone who’s tasted Nutella would tell you that they love it. But how much do we actually know about the nutty spread? Here’s what you must know about the famous Nutella… no need to thank us.

2. American and European Nutellas are Different

The ingredients found in the two versions are slightly different. For example, the European spread uses vegetable oil, while the American version uses palm oil instead. This causes slight taste and consistency differences in the two versions.

In the 1940s, due to World War II, there was a chocolate shortage around the world. Ferrero attempted to make a cheaper alternative to chocolate, and came up with what is now known as Nutella.
