10 Menswear Bloggers To Know Now

If the sun’s rising it means the dawn of a new fashion week. But slow your roll ladies—this one’s for the gents. The men’s runway scene is on — kicking off in London right now — and then heading to Milan, Paris, and New York for the first time. And sure you can watch all the runways, models, and the front row, but we all know the real action these days is with the bloggers.

Menswear bloggers have become just as major as their well-heeled counterparts in the women’s world, and whom they like, what they see, and the photos they snap can make a season really sing. We rounded up the ten key bloggers you need to know this time around.

Blog: Isaac Likes

Name: Isaac Hindin Miller

From: New Zealand/NYC

Why Hes Cool: Whether he’s offering love advice (the man is good) or tips on styling, Isaac is a modern day Anne Landers, but oh-so-chic. And you can hear the darling accent just by reading his witty prose.

Industry Cred: He’s a bit infamous back home (he did get canned from his job at New Zealand publication, Urbis, over a blog post about a rival company), but in the States, he’s written for everyone, including NY Times, GQ, Esquire. Miller has even sneaked into Chanel couture. CHANEL. Dead.

What Trend He Is Excited About: “Gucci showed us some extremely androgynous menswear last season, and I can’t wait to see whether Alessandro Michele pushes that forward or pulls it back this season.”

What Trend He Hopes Will Go Away: “The one trend I can’t get down with is elasticated cuffs on every pair of pants in every store right now. I’d like to see a definite departure from that one. Sweats are sweats and denim is denim and never the twain should meet.”

Blog: One Dapper Street

Name: Marcel Florus

From: Germany/NYC

Why Hes Cool: The man can dress. Marcel is a GQ spread that has come to life, but instead of being caught up, he’s totally charming. You either want to be him, date him, or be his BFF. Whatever works.

Industry Cred: Everyone from Barneys to Intermix wants a piece of him. Can you blame them?

Why Hes Excited About Mens Fashion Week in NY: “I definitely think it speaks to where menswear is at as a whole in the industry. We’re growing, men put more focus on their appearance and men’s fashion is becoming more important.”

Blog: Scout Sixteen

Name: Justin Livingston

From: Mississippi/NYC

Why He’s Cool: Whether it’s music, food, travel or fashion, Justin’s covering it and keeping it real. You have to love a guy who uses the word “rad” and who digs French bulldogs and whiskey.

Industry Cred: Out Magazine’s dubbed him one of the 10 Most Influential Gay Fashion Bloggers, and we’d have to agree.

Blog: The Metro Man

Name: Moti Ankari

From: NYC

Why He’s Cool: He has a head for biz and a bod for fashion. (He went from accounting to FIT, eventually launching his blog.)

Industry Cred: He’s the associate market editor at Bloomberg Pursuits. Day job in fashion? Check. Passion for fashion? Double check.

What Trend He Is Excited About: “Fashion is always reborn during the Spring collection, so I’m excited to see what comes about. I love the fun graphics and patterns.”

What Trend He Hopes Will Go Away: “Will you hate me if I said mandals? Sorry!”

Blog: Closet Freaks

Name: Anthony Urbano

From: New York/NJ

Why He’s Cool: He’s a structural engineer moonlighting as a fashion blogger. ’Nuff said.

Industry Cred: He’s worked with everyone from Coach to Diesel as an influencer and blogger and is only getting started.

Blog: I Am Galla

Name: Adam Gallagher

From: CA/NYC

Why Hes Cool: Gallagher’s blog is your go to for the best places to visit (on the blog: Rome, Jamaica, the Netherlands), and what to wear while hopping the globe. It’s okay if you’re a little envious of him; we all are.

Industry Cred: He’s worked with some pretty hefty brands like TopMan, the Tie Bar, Lord & Taylor who have partnered on advertorial content, conducted giveaways on his site, and asked the handsome fella to host swanky in-store events. Not bad for someone in his twenties. #Goals.

Blog: Nick Wooster

Name: Nick Wooster

From: NYC (by way of Kansas)

Why He’s Cool: With his background in fashion, he’s seen as the ultimate decider in what’s chic. His career has spanned decades, long before other bloggers even thought about fashion.

Industry Cred: Experience is everything. Wooster has worked as a buyer at Barneys and Bergdorf Goodman, a retail merchandiser at Calvin Klein, design director Ralph Lauren, and was the men’s fashion director at Neiman Marcus. He also consulted for Thom Browne in 2012, and if that doesn’t give him bona fides, what does?

Blog: GarçonJon

Name: Jonathan Daniel Pryce

From: London

Why He’s Cool: Pryce is a fashion and street photographer who’s been racking up accolades in Europe. His photos take street style to a whole new level. #Gamechanger

Industry Cred: Aside from winning the photographer of the year at the Scottish Fashion Awards in 2012, he has published a must-red book for follicle-blessed males, 100 Beards.

Most Looking Forward to Seeing: “For me the fashion I want to see if always on the street. There are so many interesting characters that come in from around the globe and it’s what these gents are wearing that truly raises the bar.”

Blog: The Scott Effect

Name: Blake Scott

From: Los Angeles

Why He’s Cool: Scott proves that you don’t have to be toil away in the Conde Nast or Hearst publishing towers (or even in New York) to make it in fashion.

Industry Cred: GQ, Buzzfeed, LA Times all rave about his Instagram which features his West Coast fashion sensibility mixed with a laid back vibe. It works.

Blog: Dapper Lou

Name: Louge Delcy

From: Brooklyn

Why He’s Cool: A former stylist, Lou jumped behind the camera in 2009 (that’s when the site launched) and has never looked back. His Instagram feed is full of incredible images and his blog is so revered that he even landed in an ad for the NYC subway system. His site isn’t just street style; Lou offers up a mix of stories and editorial highlighting creatives, whether it’s a video from Siraj Nuri or an interview with author Joekenneth Museau. It’s about people who inspire and create, much like Lou himself.

Industry Cred: It may be easier to list the brands he hasn’t consulted for. Lou’s style and spot-on taste make him a favorite for menswear lines like Gucci, Hugo Boss, Mont Blanc, Diesel, and more. He co-collaborated on a custom New Balance sneaker with model/blogger Adrianne Ho.

Most Looking Forward to Seeing: “Thom Browne, Calvin Klein, Agi & Sam, Soulland, Paul Smith, Public School, Banana Republic.”
