Yam Madar reportedly working out with Semi Ojeleye’s strength trainer ahead of Las Vegas Summer League

Stashed Boston Celtics 2020 draft prospect Yam Madar came into the 2020-21 season with Hapoel Tel Aviv — his team in the Israeli Premier League — with questions about his shooting abounding, only to put those to bed comfortably with a season of 40.9% shooting from beyond the arc.

Now, as he hopes to play well enough in Las Vegas Summer League to convince the Celtics to buy out his contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv, the Beit Dagan native is working on another issue of concern for his success at the next level — putting some muscle onto his particularly lean frame.

Astute fans of the Celtics may recognize the name of the strength trainer brought on to help Madar get a little thicker in good ways with Semi Ojeleye’s strength trainer Paul Fabritz linking up with Madar this week in Los Angeles through his trainer Yogev Perdugo according to Forbes Sports’ Chris Grenham.

While we probably shouldn’t expect the Israeli floor general to look as buff as the Ojeleye factory on his Sin City debut in a few weeks, it certainly can’t hurt to have Madar working with one of the NBA’s most jacked forwards to pick up a little heft in the muscle department.
