Where ACC basketball programs stand in 2024 recruiting rankings (Mid May)

The 2023 recruiting cycle is all but wrapped up as the transfer portal is officially closed and teams have their classes barring some last-minute changes. With the summer ahead, the focus will start shifting to the 2024 cycle with the AAU circuit and then the high school season in fall and winter.

As it stands right now, plenty of teams have commitments in the 2024 class and if you’ve paid attention, you know that North Carolina holds the No. 1 overall class for the cycle. But what do the rest of the rankings look like?

After taking a look at the top 25 teams nationally, I wanted to see where Atlantic Coast Conference teams now rank. Eight programs in the conference have landed a commitment so far, with others still needing to get on the board.

Let’s look at where teams rank in the ACC with commitments from prospects in the 204 class.

The 2024 class rankings are based on 247Sports Composite rankings as of May 15.

Louisville was one of the worst teams in all of college basketball but it’s clear that this is a rebuild under Kenny Payne. He needs some strong recruiting classes.

A surprising team last season, Jeff Capel continues to build at Pitt. A big 2024 recruiting class would go a long ways to keeping them relevant.
