Watch Titans QB Marcus Mariota blast a linebacker on a run block

Maybe it’s not exactly the best idea to have Marcus Mariota blocking in the run game. The Tennessee Titans quarterback hasn’t exactly had the best luck with injuries.

But when Derrick Henry went off script and started reversing field, Mariota was in a position to block New York Giants linebacker Alec Ogletree. And did he ever block him.

Ogletree is not going to want to see that one in the film review of the 17-0 defeat.

Mariota isn’t a small guy. He’s listed at 222 pounds. But he’s not known as a physical runner when he scrambles, and he definitely isn’t known as a blocker.

The Titans probably aren’t going to want Mariota leading the way for Henry too often, but he did throw one memorable block.
