Veteran guard Avery Bradley claimed by Los Angeles Lakers

Heading into training camp, the Golden State Warriors had a group of players auditioning for the 15th and final roster spot on the roster. Yet, after camp and preseason, the Warriors waived four players, opting to keep the 15th spot on the roster open for the start of the season.

One of the players that was released was veteran guard Avery Bradley. The 11-year-veteran signed with Golden State prior to the start of the 2021 training camp.

Despite being waived by Golden State, Bradley will be on the court for Tuesday’s season opener. On Monday, Bradley was claimed by the Los Angeles Lakers on waivers. Bradley and the Lakers will host the Warriors on Tuesday night to start the 2021-22 NBA season.

Via @Lakers on Twitter:

During the preseason with the Warriors, Bradley averaged 4.2 points on 38.9% shooting from the floor in 12.7 minutes per game.

The Warriors will travel to Hollywood for the first of 82 regular-season games on Tuesday night. Tip-off between Golden State and Los Angeles is set for 7 p.m.
