Vegas Raiders’ Chandler Jones implies Aaron Hernandez didn’t kill himself in odd, crying livestream

NFL player Chandler Jones, who has made a slew of odd social media posts in recent weeks, went live Thursday to film himself discussing his former Patriots teammate Aaron Hernandez, before breaking down and hysterically crying.

“Oh, y’all didn’t know what Josh McDaniels really did to Aaron Hernandez?” Jones asks in the clip, referring to the former Patriots assistant coach. “If y’all don’t know what really happened with Aaron Hernandez … y’all thought Aaron Hernandez killed himself in jail?”

The 33-year old former All-Pro defensive end covers a variety of topics during the 25-minute stream, including knowledge of government secrets, the Illuminati, and ISIS, reports TMZ.

Jones also chats with his neighbor at one point in the video, explaining that he’s trying to protect the community and inviting the person over for gumbo.

Eventually, Jones breaks down in tears after bringing up the late Aaron Hernandez, who he refers to as “Chico.” Hernandez — who played for the New England Patriots with Jones in 2012 — was found dead in his jail cell in 2017 while serving a life sentence for the 2013 shooting death of Odin Lloyd.

“Y’all thought my n—- Chico killed himself in jail?” Jones asks in the video, before giving over to heavy tears and moving the camera away from his face. After a couple moments, he then abruptly ends the livestream.

The video comes as Jones remains out of the league after being placed on the non-football illness list by the Las Vegas Raiders just over a week ago.

Concerns continue to grow over Jones’ mental health, following a previous post Monday night, where he claimed he had been taken to a hospital “against my will” by the Las Vegas Fire Department a week before.

“I haven’t done anything wrong. The police said people were concerned about me because of my posts online,” he wrote in a now-deleted post to X.

Prior to the incident, Jones had fired off a series of posts heavily criticizing the Raiders front office for keeping him away from the team and forcing him to work out at a local gym instead of their team facility.
