UNC women's basketball places entire staff on leave to examine 'issues raised by student-athletes'
The University of North Carolina women’s basketball team will be reviewed and assessed by an outside firm due to “issues raised by student-athletes and others.” While that review is going on, the university has placed the team’s entire coaching staff on leave, according to a statement.

The full statement does not describe specific issues, but mentions that the “culture” and the “experience of our student-athletes” will be assessed.

The school added it does not know when the review will be completed, but expects it to be “thorough and prompt.”
The Tar Heels went 18-14 this season. The team’s season ended with a loss to Cal on March 23.
UNC is not the only school to deal with culture-related issues. Georgia Tech coach MaChelle Joseph was fired after an investigation into her behavior.
