Ryan Leaf offers to help park ranger's family pay their mortgage

You heard this old saying before, especially during the holiday season: It’s better to give than to receive. Due to the unfortunate federal government shutdown, many government employees will have their pay withheld until the shutdown is over. Others will be placed on furlough, which means they’ll be on leave of absence without pay.

When former NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf found out a park ranger’s family needed financial support, he immediately offered to help.

Less than 24 hours later, Leaf responded to her tweet:

It’s great to see Leaf offer financial assistance to a family in need. This is what the holiday season is all about.
