Report: Former Bills, Syracuse player Mike Williams has not passed away

There has been a major update relating to former Bills wide receiver Mike Williams who reportedly passed away: He has not.

According to multiple reports including WKBW-TV and WIVB-TV, Williams has not passed away. The 36-year-old has instead been placed on life support in a Florida hospital on Friday.

According to earlier reports, Williams was injured during an accident while he was working on a construction site.

Williams spent the 2014 season with the Bills–the last team he would play for in the NFL.

Williams was a fourth-round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2010. He finished second in Rookie of the Year voting behind Los Angeles Rams quarterback Sam Bradford.

After three seasons in Tampa, Williams was traded to Buffalo, his hometown team. Williams attended Riverside High School and went to college at Syracuse University.
