Washington Redskins linebacker Zach Brown isn’t having a good day on Twitter. Brown got into an argument with a blog after getting mad at his own quote criticizing the team.

Brown was the focal point of a piece at The Athletic detailing the struggles of Washington’s defense in 2018. He gave some open and honest quotes to Tarik El-Bashir and Rhiannon Walker that got picked up by other media outlets that follow the team.

The main quote features Brown saying he understands why Washington is disrespected as a franchise, and calls out the team for getting rid of guys who care. Brown mentions D.J. Swearinger — who was cut by the team after criticizing the defensive game plan — by name in the quote.

When Burgundy Blog sent out that quote, Brown started threatening the reporters, claiming it was made up and asking for proof he made those comments.

Burgundy Blog responded to Brown, informing him the quote in the original tweet is from a story published on The Athletic.

Since that tweet, the 29-year-old Brown has not responded to Burgundy Blog, El-Bashir or Walker about his quote. Brown signed a three-year, $24 million extension in March.
