NFL leaves Chiefs' Tyreek Hill off Pro Bowl ballot at wide receiver

Fan voting for the Pro Bowl opened on Tuesday, and the fan picks count toward one-third of the results, with coaches’ votes getting a third and players’ votes making up the final third.

But the voting page has at least one glaring omission at receiver.

Kansas City Chiefs’ receiver Tyreek Hill, who not only has the most receiving yards (891, on 55 catches) on his AFC-leading team but is fifth in the NFL in that category, isn’t listed among the 76 choices for the position (voters can select up to eight).

The rest of the receivers in the top 10 in yardage are options.

As the kids say: How, Sway?

Maybe Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey, he of the “He’s alright, I guess” assessment of Hill earlier this year, was the one who compiled the ballot.

Hill, who is currently fifth in the league in punt return average at 12.5 yards per, is listed as an option on the “return specialist” tab.

Le’Veon Bell shows support

At least one interested — and interesting — party has already started voting. Le’Veon Bell, who it seems won’t be reporting to the Pittsburgh Steelers before Tuesday’s league-imposed deadline, posted on Instagram that he voted for teammate James Conner as well as the Cowboys’ Ezekiel Elliott, at running back.

Conner is currently the AFC’s leading rusher at 771 yards, and third in the NFL behind the Rams’ Todd Gurley and Elliott.

Voting open for four weeks

Fan voting is open for four weeks, ending on Dec. 13. Eighty-eight total players will be announced as Pro Bowlers on NFL Network on Dec. 18.

The Pro Bowl will be played on Jan. 27 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
