Someone get Dorothy the Cubs fan a shot of Jägermeister right now

For the first time in 71 years, the Chicago Cubs will play in a World Series game. Life-long fans have waited so long for this moment that many never envisioned it would actually come.

One of those fans is a woman named Dorothy. Dorothy has had seats in the front row at Wrigley Field since 1984. As the Cubs kept inching closer to the National League pennant, she was shown numerous times by the FS1 television crew.

Following the game, Ken Rosenthal caught up with Dorothy to get her thoughts on the Cubs finally advancing to the World Series. The interview is absolutely worth your time.

Wow! That went a lot of different directions. Dorothy loves her Cubbies, isn’t concerned about Cleveland and is going to celebrate with some Jägermeister! Dorothy sounds like she’s got life all figured out.

On a serious note, we have to mention Dorothy acknowledging her deceased brothers. As she states in the video, she had one brother die during the war, and another who was a prisoner in Germany for 21 months. She had four brothers who were all Cubs’ fans, none of them will experience this moment.

That’s the sad reality of the team’s 71-year gap between World Series appearances. A number of fans went their entire lives without seeing the Cubs on the biggest stage. Even more have gone without seeing their favorite team bring home a World Series championship.

With that said, the Cubs reaching their first World Series since 1945 should be a joyous occasion. Considering the scene at and around Wrigley Field following the win, we think it’s going to be pretty easy for Dorothy to get her hands on a shot of Jäger.
