Rejoice, Warriors haters: Stephen Curry got dunked on very, very hard

The Golden State Warriors’ recent success, high-profile failure in the 2016 NBA Finals, and league-changing acquisition of Kevin Durant have combined to create a substantial opposition to a team that is otherwise known as very fun to watch. Every Warriors failure is now greeted with a healthy dose of schadenfreude, from their Christmas loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers to Friday’s collapse against the Memphis Grizzlies. People like to see them fall down.

It doesn’t take a horrible loss to bring the pain, either. Tuesday night’s home game against the Miami Heat offered one brief moment of Warriors hate, but it was very effective nonetheless. At the end of the first quarter, James Johnson absolutely devastated Stephen Curry with a buzzer-beating poster dunk:

No, there aren’t a lot of James Johnson posters. But there might be “I Don’t Like Stephen Curry” posters very soon.

It wasn’t all bad for Curry on Tuesday — he put up 24 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds despite a rough second half as the Warriors won 107-95. Kevin Durant added 28 points to help cover for the absence of the resting Klay Thompson.

But the Warriors win enough games that any single victory can be forgotten. Dunks like this one stay in people’s minds for months.
