Kansas State TD celebration goes wrong as scorer punched in the stomach

Kansas State might want to rethink the way it celebrates touchdowns.

After Kansas State’s Byron Pringle returned a 99-yard kickoff for a touchdown, he was mobbed by his teammates in the end zone, which was a normal enough celebration until teammate Dominique Heath got involved.

Heath walked up to Pringle and punched him right in the gut — hard. So hard that it caused Pringle to drop to the turf clutching his stomach. At first it looked like an act, but Pringle was really stunned by the surprise attack.

Pringle was on the turf for a few seconds before being helped up by teammates. He smiled as he ran back to the sideline, but was still holding his stomach. Perhaps it was a bit of over exuberance by Heath or a choreographed celebration gone wrong. Either way, we’re glad Pringle is OK.
