LAS VEGAS – It's laughable that anyone would seriously suggest that Claressa Shields will wind up doing for women's boxing what Ronda Rousey has done for women's mixed martial arts. And that has nothing to do with Shields, a two-time Olympic gold medalist who has star quality. It has everything to do with a clueless boxing establishment that doesn't want to invest in its business, never thinks long-term and won't come close to investing in women's boxing the way the UFC has invested in women's MMA.
