Adorned in a knee-length white mink coat with the tags still attached, patterned red trousers and a red mock turtleneck, Conor McGregor pushed an already amped-up crowd into a frenzy Thursday when he pranced fashionably late onto the stage for a news conference at Madison Square Garden and swiped the UFC lightweight title belt from where Eddie Alvarez had been sitting. The two will fight for the lightweight belt on Saturday in the main event of UFC 205, the first-ever UFC card in New York City and the first in the state since a 19-year ban on the sport was lifted in April. Alvarez left a few minutes into the news conference when the notoriously late McGregor hadn't arrived.
