Blue Jays fan predicts future with tremendous sign at ALDS

They say revenge is a dish best served cold. If that’s true, then give the Toronto Blue Jays fan who brought this excellent sign to Game 3 of the American League Division Series a Michelin Star right now.

That’s amazing! That sign not only perfectly captures the meaning of that quote, but provides the best possible analogy for the Blue Jays’ season-long matchup with the Texas Rangers.

Think of the two teams as heavyweight boxers. The Blue Jays were an offensive powerhouse with a nasty right-handed combo known as Donaldson, Encarnacion and Bautista. The Rangers, meanwhile, boasted a more all-around game and showed the ability to somehow always come out on top in tight matches.

The first time the two clubs met in May, you have have awarded the Rangers the easy victory. The club not only won two of the three games in that series, but Rougned Odor landed a vicious right hook directly on Jose Bautista’s jaw. You may have seen or heard about that one.

This time around, there was no doubt the Blue Jays delivered the knock-out punch. Toronto absolutely dominated the rematch against Texas, employing a vicious, hard-hitting approach in all three round … er … games of the ALDS. Had this been an actual boxing match, they would have won by unanimous decision.

On top of all that, Odor made a crucial error on the game’s final play, contributing to Toronto’s walk-off win.

And so, the Blue Jays get the last laugh in what turned out to be one of baseball’s rivalries this season. Given how entertaining each game turned out to be, we can’t wait to see what these two teams do for an encore in 2017.
