A tennis player got trapped in an elevator before his match with Novak Djokovic

Ahead of his tough first-round match against world No. 1 Novak Djokovic on Sunday evening at the Rio Olympic Games, tennis player Juan Martin del Potro started his day with another challenge — a broken elevator.
The 6-foot-6 Argentinian tennis player was trapped in an elevator at the Olympic village for 40 minutes Sunday morning, according to his communications manager Jorge Viale, who tweeted out a photo of the tennis star sitting in the dimly lit elevator.

Luckily for del Potro, members of the Argentinian handball team were nearby and were able to free their Olympic teammate, tweeted Viale.
With those 40 minutes to kill, Del Potro could have at least went over his last Olympic match in his mind, which happened to also be against Djokovic. Four years ago, del Potro beat the Serbian player in straight sets to win the bronze medal in London. Both players are seeking their first Olympic gold.
