There was no doubling down from the Milwaukee Brewers' scoreboard crew one night after trolling Cincinnati Reds rookie Elly De La Cruz with player trivia on the video board.

De La Cruz struck out in his first at-bat of the Reds' 4-3 win Tuesday night at American Family Field.

"The scoreboard crew has no further comment at this time," read De La Cruz's "player trivia" on the scoreboard as he came up for his second at-bat of the game, which resulted in a flyout.

"That's pretty good," Bally Sports Ohio play-by-play announcer John Sadak said. "Self-aware, self-deprecating. Always endearing."

On Wednesday, the scoreboard read, "Still nothing from the scoreboard crew but thanks for checking."

After Monday night's game, De La Cruz and manager David Bell said they weren't aware that after De La Cruz was robbed of a home run and just before his towering, 456-foot, two-run blast, the scoreboard read, "Almost hit a home run in the first inning … but didn't."

"No. No I haven't heard yet," De La Cruz said Monday night, through team interpreter Jorge Merlos. "Interesting. Something like that I guess."
