MINTY BETS: We have got the Farmers Insurance Open taking place this weekend in La Jolla, California. I'm here with Jason Sobel of The Action Network and Sirius XM PGA TOUR Radio, here to give us his best bets for the tournament. Jason, what are your best bets?

JASON SOBEL: So, Minty, I am going to start right at the top. I love Jon Rahm this week. He's got a win, a second place, and the fifth place in the last four years. But I'm going past the favorite. I love Rory McIlroy. He's played this event twice, each in the last two years. He's got a third and a fifth. I'm going to go past Rory, too. I need to get a little bit bigger price on some of these guys.

I'm going to go with Hideki Matsuyama. Hideki fits a theme that we've seen so far this season, guys who are proven winners that haven't won in a while. From Stewart Cink to Sergio Garcia, Brian Gay, to Harris English, who won the Century Tournament of champions just a few weeks ago. Hideki Matsuyama hasn't won on the PGA TOUR in nearly four full years, which is really strange for a guy who's 21st in the world right now. But I think it's time for Hideki to finally get back into that winner's circle. The ball striking has been there. I think Hideki can contend.

If you want to pivot from Hideki, if you don't like him for some reason, I know Tony Finau is a guy that everyone's going, man, he had another chance on Sunday, didn't get it done. Trust me. This is my favorite place all year to play Tony Finau. Six career starts at the Farmers Insurance Open, six career top 25 finishes.

MINTY BETS: Ooh, I like it! And do you like any long shots this weekend?

JASON SOBEL: Yeah, I'll give you two names, Minty. The first one is a guy that we saw hang with the big boys at Augusta National back in November. That's Dylan Frittelli. The South African has gone from 291 yards average drive to 312.8 this season. He's absolutely smashing it, sort of a mini-Bryson DeChambeau out there. And so I think Frittelli's length is really going to help him at Torrey Pines.

Another guy that I really like, played really well at times last week and kind of average at other times, but again, I think this guy's length should help him. He's a guy that hits it far and makes a lot of putts, that's a great combination on the PGA TOUR. Wyndham Clark. Also like Wyndham Clark on the West Coast. This is, of course, a West Coast-based event. Over the next six weeks, I think we see him pop up on a few different leaderboards starting with this one.

MINTY BETS: Love it. Good luck to you, Jason. Thank you so much.

JASON SOBEL: Thank you, Minty.
