Minty Bets is joined by UFC President Dana White to preview the fight card for UFC 257 from Fight Island on Sat. January 23, including the Lightweight Main Event between Dustin Poirier vs. Conor McGregor.

MINTY BETS: I'm here with Dana White for UFC 257, taking place on Fight Island this Saturday. Now, the main event is a lightweight bout headlined by Conor McGregor, a minus 275 favorite, versus Dustin Poirier, a plus 225 underdog. Now Dana, Dustin being the underdog, what does he have to do to pull the upset on Conor McGregor?

DANA WHITE: Yeah, you know, this is a tough one. Everybody keeps asking me to break down this fight. And I just think this one's so hard.

Conor has fought two times in the UFC, since 2016. Dustin Poirier has been on a tear. Now, think about this. Conor McGregor knocked Dusty Poirier out in the first round on their first fight.

And now, Dustin Poirier is actually ranked higher than Conor McGregor. He's ranked number two in the world. McGregor is number four in the world.

So McGregor is coming out. He's saying, physically, mentally, emotionally, he's never been in a better place. Everything for this camp has been perfect. He is telling everyone he's going to put on a masterpiece, and is going to finish Dustin Poirier in 60 seconds.

And Conor has done a lot of things that he said he would do in the past, when he's been in this type of mindset. But Poirier has-- is a completely different fighter, and has beat all the best in the world, and has been dying for the chance to get revenge on Conor McGregor. And I think a lot of the, you know, the smart betting people think that there's great value in the Dustin Poirier bet.

MINTY BETS: Yeah, absolutely. Now speaking of upsets, what underdogs can you see win outright for UFC 257?

DANA WHITE: An underdog-- I mean, the Marina Rodriguez, Ribas fight. That's an incredible fight with two, you know, top 10 up and coming strawweights. Rodriguez could absolutely win that fight.

MINTY BETS: Yeah, other than the main event, what other fights are you looking forward to seeing most?

DANA WHITE: The Co-Main Event. I mean, another lightweight bout with two guys-- Michael Chandler, who's been a champion in other organizations taking on the number six ranked Dan Hooker. And all these guys-- so you just had Tony Ferguson fight Charles Oliviera. Oliviera looked unbelievable in that win.

Now, you got Hooker and Chandler fighting in the Co-Main Event, and Poirier and McGregor fighting. And all these guys want the opportunity to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov, hoping that he will stick around for one more and not retire.
