Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, Max Garcia on Cardinals’ 1st injury report

The Arizona Cardinals released their first injury report of Week 8. They take on the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night, so they did not hold a full practice. However, their first injury report was an estimation of participation.

Based on that, the Cardinals had 10 players on the injury report, including quarterback Kyler Murray. Five would not have participated.

The details are below.

Did not participate

C Max Garcia (Achilles), LB Jordan Hicks (toe), WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring), DT Rashard Lawrence (calf), DE J.J. Watt (shoulder)

If this had been a regular Wednesday, this would be typical. Watt’s injury is probably not severe and Hopkins will definitely play. Hicks played on the injury the last two weeks.

The one to watch is Garcia’s injury, as he starts at center, because Rodney Hudson is on injured reserve. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said he is day-to-day.

Limited participation

TE Darrell Daniels (hamstring), OLB Devon Kennard (shoulder), LB Isaiah Simmons (shoulder), LB Tanner Vallejo (hand, wrist)

Daniels sat out the last game but could be trending toward playing. All three other players played on Sunday and did not leave with injuries.

Full participation

QB Kyler Murray (right finger)

Being that he was a full participant, there is nothing to worry about, although it is never good to see the starting quarterback on an injury report.
