JOHN SHUSTER: The journey back, you know, to try to get back to my fifth Olympic Games started pretty much right after our gold-medal performance in 2018, and that was obviously the high that any athlete can achieve. And, you know, honestly, the decision to continue playing-- you know, I'm getting a little bit, you know, older in sport, but in our sport, I'm still kind of right in the middle in kind of my prime.

After having our experience we had at the Games and really, you know, coming from the bottom and getting to the top, I think we kind of all started to understand like, you know, how to really enjoy competing even more so than we ever had. So, you know, it was a pretty easy decision for myself and my family and along with our other two teammates.

Since the coverage has gotten better and better throughout my Olympic career now, you know, we do see a huge uptick from, you know, post-Olympics. And we've seen curling clubs going up all over the United States in areas that never had curling clubs, and that is incredibly exciting, and I'm very humbled to feel like I'm a part of that. And, you know, I do what I can to go around and help support those, and, you know, myself and my teammates all do that.
