Eagles fans are snapping up creepy dog masks to support their 'underdog' team
You might have heard, but the Philadelphia Eagles, despite being the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs and despite being at home, were underdogs in the eyes of Las Vegas on Saturday for their divisional round game with the Atlanta Falcons.
So when the Eagles won, 15-10, offensive tackle Lane Johnson and defensive lineman Chris Long donned dog masks on the field and in the locker room, making it clear that Philadelphia players were well aware of their status as “dogs.”
And Eagles fans have embraced the role too.
After it was discovered that Johnson and Long bought their masks – which are really creepy, by the way – on Amazon, they became a bestseller. In the area under the product description, where customers can ask questions, is this gem:
There’s only one problem: as of Monday evening, the fastest you can get one of the masks is Wednesday, Jan. 24, which is after the NFC championship game. Of course, if the Eagles beat the Vikings on Sunday you’ll be set for Super Bowl LII.
And some enterprising sellers on eBay have discovered their popularity too, where the masks are going for $200:

If you’re in the area of Lincoln Financial Field this weekend and see a lot of people wearing these masks, you’ve been warned.
