Delonte West working at rehab center where he received treatment

Former Boston Celtics guard Delonte West continues to make progress in his recovery. West reportedly now has a job working at the rehab center where he received treatment, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

It’s yet another encouraging update from West, who entered rehab in September at Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban’s urging. West was involved in a few disturbing videos in 2020, the last of which motivated Cuban to get involved.

Cuban agreed to pay for West’s rehab, and has kept in touch with West and his mother since West began treatment. In the months following West’s rehab, Cuban has posted positive updates of West’s progress.

Delonte West played for Mavericks for one season

Over his eight-year career in the NBA, West spent time with the Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Mavericks and Seattle Supersonics. His final season came with the Mavericks, setting up West’s connection with Cuban. West averaged 9.7 points and 3.6 assists during his career.

West was spotted panhandling in Dallas in September. A few days later, Cuban picked up West at a Dallas gas station.
