College basketball commentator links Bronny James to Colorado

College basketball commentator Tate Frazier tweeted out something that got the attention of CU Buffs fans quickly during the McDonald’s All-American Game on Tuesday night.

Tate, who hosts The Ringer’s One Shining Podcast, sent the following tweet at about 7:00 p.m. MT: “Would be cool if Bronny James announced his commitment to USC tonight at the McDonald’s game.” A Twitter user then responded: “You mean Oregon. Would be cool if he committed to Oregon tonight.”

And in response to that, Tate followed up with, “Unfortunately according to my sources it’s down to two schools: USC & Colorado.”

James, the son of NBA great LeBron James, was previously reported to be deciding between USC, Oregon and Ohio State, so this latest development is certainly interesting (if Tate’s report is legit).

Below are a few takes on Tate’s tweet:

Ralphie Report

From Sam Metivier of Ralphie Report:

Tate Frazier is more comedian than expert, is usually trolling when he says he has sources, and quickly implied Deion Sanders is in on that recruitment. Bronny has also never listed Colorado among the programs he’s interested in and most reports have stated he’s choosing between USC, Oregon and the G League.
