Cardinals TE Jermaine Gresham picks up unexpected bag fee for stranded traveler

An Arizona State student who found herself in a travel predicament on Wednesday met a surprise good samaritan to keep her on her way.

Delilah Cassidy, a law student at ASU, was traveling home from an overseas trip and encountered an unexpected $50 bag fee from American Airlines. According to her Twitter account, Cassidy’s credit cards did not work because she had just returned to the United States and hadn’t yet informed the bank she wasn’t in Europe anymore.

The gate agents wouldn’t accept cash and told her she was going to have to miss her flight.

We’ll let Cassidy fill in the details from there.

At this point, Cassidy hadn’t realized who her hero was. By the time she got off the flight, she’d figured it out.

Cassidy is a self-proclaimed NFL fan and was an intern at Fox Sports Arizona which must add to the thrill of having her day saved by Cardinals tight end Jermaine Gresham.

And she clearly knows a good story when she sees one.
