Cardinals 'rally cat' reportedly found, expected to be reunited with team
The saga of the St. Louis Cardinals “rally cat” — or “rally kitten,” if you prefer — appears to have taken a happy turn on Friday after the team announced the missing kitten had been located.
The St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach reported spotting and rescuing a kitten overnight in City Garden that appeared similar to the kitten who famously took over Busch Stadium moments before Yadier Molina’s game-winning grand slam on Wednesday night.

The same group says it’s now “confident” it’s the same cat we saw scratching and clawing at Busch Stadium grounds crew member Lucas Hackmann as he attempted to safely remove it from harm’s way.
We’re sure plenty of people will be skeptical of that, but we’ll have to take their word for it.
Assuming that is the same kitten, this completes a pretty crazy 48 hours.
After being released outside Gate 3 near the Stan Musial statue during Wednesday’s game, Cardinals employees attempted to contain the kitten. It ended up in the possession of a woman who claimed the kitten as her own, but it ultimately got away leading to the Cardinals releasing a strange statement on the cat’s whereabouts on Thursday morning.
Now that the kitten has reportedly been located, there are plans for it to be reunited with the team following its release from quarantine. That would likely come on the team’s next home stand since that process will take up to 10 days.
