Wrestling legend Jerry “The King” Lawler, 66, was arrested early Friday morning after an alleged domestic dispute between him and his 27-year-old fiancée that involved a gun, according to police.

Lawler and his fiancée, Lauryn McBride, who was also arrested, attacked each other around 1 a.m. at Lawler’s home in Memphis, per reports. McBride told police that the fight was physical, that Lawler hit her in the head. McBride also told police that Lawler then grabbed an unloaded pistol and told her to kill herself.

Lawler claimed that McBride was the one who got the pistol, and said McBride threw a candle at him and kicked him in the groin.

WWE moved quickly to suspend Lawler, saying in a statement, “WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, and per our policy, Jerry Lawler has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest.”

Lawler is a WWE Hall of Famer, and currently works for the entertainment company as the color commentator on Main Event and SmackDown broadcasts.
