Bears legend Dick Butkus is already winning at Twitter

In case you’ve been living under a rock (or basically outside of social media), Bears Hall of Fame linebacker Dick Butkus has joined Twitter. And yes, it’s really him. Check the blue checkmark.

Butkus needs no introduction. He’s one of the toughest guys to ever play in the NFL. Butkus spent his entire career with the Bears from 1965-1973, where he established himself as one of the best to ever play linebacker. He’s a 5-time First-Team All-Pro, 8-time Pro Bowler, 2-time Defensive Player of the Year, a member of the 1960s and 1970s All-Decade Team and the list goes on.

Butkus is one of the greatest football players to ever play the game. Now, he’s tackling a new challenge: Twitter. And, spoiler alert, he’s doing a damn good job.

Here’s the best of Butkus’ tweets since he started engaging with fans on Twitter over the last month:

You might be able to get Butkus on a podcast
