Aidan Hutchinson wins Grange-Griffin MVP Award
INDIANAPOLIS, In. — Michigan football has won its first Big Ten Championship since 2004 after defeating the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday, 42-3.
It was the first trip to the Big Ten Championship Game for Michigan since the Big Ten started its annual conference Championship Game in 2011.
The Wolverines absolutely dominated every phase of the game. The offense came to life in the second half when it scored four touchdowns. The defense was huge in limiting what Iowa could do — it only had 279 yards in the game –, and special teams played a hand as well after Cornelius Johnson blocked a punt. It was pure domination by the Michigan Wolverines.
After the clock hits zero, the Big Ten gives away the Grange-Griffin Most Valuable player award. It is selected by the credenitaled media that attended the game.
Aidan Hutchinson had the honor of winning the MVP of the game.
Hutchinson recorded four tackles, one sack — 14th of the year –, and one tackle-for-loss.
Hutchinson was important for the defense, not only on Saturday but the entire year. Hutchinson disrupted the Iowa passing attack all evening, and he had consistent pressure against the quarterbacks.
