2024 NFL draft: Quarterbacks shuffle spots in new 2-round mock update

The college football regular season is done and we look ahead to the bowl games and the college football playoffs. Many of the top prospects for the 2024 NFL draft won’t play in their team’s bowl so they have focused all their attention on draft prep.

We figure there’s no better time to update our two-round mock draft and we continue to shuffle the top quarterbacks as we finalize our rankings and line up which prospects match with different NFL teams.

1 - Chicago Bears - WR Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State

2 - New England Patriots - QB Drake Maye, North Carolina

I still think when it’s all said and done Drake Maye ends up the top quarterback off the board and an easy pick for the Patriots.

3 - Arizona Cardinals - OT Olu Fashamu, Penn State

4 - Washington Commaners - TE Brock Bowers, Georgai

5 - Chicago Bears - DT Jer'Zhan Newton, Illinois

We feel like the Bears are finally figuring things out with Justin Fields so instead of a quarterback here we opt for the top interior defensive lineman in the draft.

6 - New York Jets - QB Caleb Williams, USC

We will be shocked if Aaron Rodgers plays this season and the Jets must have a plan to replace him next season. Caleb Williams has a lot to prove and could make a huge leap in the NFL.

7 = New York Giants - WR Malik Nabers, LSU

Several receivers are making a case to be the second selected but we love the fit between what the Giants do on offense and the strength of Nabers game.

8 - Tennessee Titans - WR Rome Odunze, Washington

Missing on Nabers but the Titans still land an elite playmaker in Rome Odunze who pairs perfectly with young quarterback Will Levis.

9 - New Orleans Saints - OT Joe Alt, Notre Dame

The Saints can use an upgrade at offensive tackle and Alt is a Top-Five talent they land at No. 9.

10 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers - EDGE Laiatu Latu, UCLA

The Buccaneers leader in sacks right now is a defensive tackle so adding an edge rusher makes perfect sense.

11 - Las Vegas Raiders - QB Michael Penix Jr., Washington

There are several quarterbacks who could make a case to be selected here but we love Penix and his leadership and natural athleticism.

12 - Los Angeles Chargers - CB Kool-Aid McKinstry, Alabama

Gary Cosby Jr.-USA TODAY Sports

McKinstry is a confident, physical cornerback who has the potential to be a shutdown coverage player.

13 - Cincinnati Bengals - OT Taliese Fuaga, Oregon State

The Bengals could potentially need a new starting left tackle and Fuaga is plug-and-play.

14 - Buffalo Bills - CB Nate Wiggins, Clemson

The Bills have built a very strong roster but a shutdown cornerback can only help the Buffalo front-seven.

15 - Denver Broncos - EDGE Jared Verse, FSU

The Broncos don’t have a player on the roster with more than seven sacks so we opt for a guy who can add some punch off the edge in Jared Verse.

16 - Seattle Seahawks - EDGE Chop Robinson, Penn State

.
.

If he can be more consistent, the Seahawks get a bargain Chop Robinson in the middle of the first round.

17 - Los Angeles Rams - DB Cooper DeJean, Iowa

Assuming DeJean is ready to roll by the draft, he’s a great option for a team that could use an upgrade at cornerback or safety since he is great at both.

18 - Arizona Cardinals - WR Keon Coleman, Florida State

If we are sticking with Kyler Murray, get him a huge target in the passing game like Keon Coleman.

19 - Atlanta Falcons - QB Bo Nix, Oregon

Nix slides a little here but won’t get past the Falcons despite some concerns over his age. His skill set is just too good to drop any further.

20 - Green Bay Packers - OT JC Latham, Alabama

If there was a running back here worth the pick, that’s who we would have given the Packers but instead, we give them a dominant run blocker in JC Latham.

21 - Minnesota Vikings - QB Jayden Daniels, LSU

No player has done more for their draft stock than Daniels and his inclusion here as the future of the Vikings is not at all out of place.

22 - Indianapolis Colts - WR Brian Thomas Jr., LSU

23 - Pittsburgh Steelers - S Kamren Kinchens, Miami

The Steelers need a huge upgrade in the secondary at both safety and cornerback so we go safety first with the athletic Kinchens.

24 - Houston Texans - WR Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State

The Texans have an explosive offense and the rich get richer with the addition of Egbuka in the first round.

25 - Kansas City Chiefs - WR Adonai Mitchell, Texas

Aaron E. Martinez-USA TODAY NETWORK

Kansas City lands one of the hardest-working, toughest receivers in the draft who also happens to have game-breaking speed.

26 - Jacksonville Jaguars - EDGE Dallas Turner, Alabama

Gary Cosby Jr.-USA TODAY Sports

The Jaguars don’t have many glaring needs so we opt for the best player on the board and add Jacksonville another pass rusher.

27 - Dallas Cowboys - RB Jonathon Brooks, Texas

28 - Detroit Lions - DT Leonard Taylor III, Miami

The Lions love tough guys and bullies along the line of scrimmage and Taylor definitely qualifies.

29 - San Francisco 49ers - CB Kalen King, Penn State

The Niners should have their pick of several top prospects without a massive glaring need so they opt for Penn State cornerback Kalen King.

30 - Baltimore Ravens - CB Terrion Arnold, Alabama

Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports

The Ravens always put work into keeping a top defense on the field so taking Arnold here makes a ton of sense.

31 - Miami Dolphins - OT Graham Barton, Duke

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

There isn’t a more flashy team in the NFL than the Dolphins but they play it safe here with a great all-around offensive tackle in Barton.

32 - Philadelphia Eagles - S Tyler Nubin, Minnesota

We love Nubin’s high football IQ and leadership on the back end as well as his polish as a coverage player.
