2022 NFL draft: Jets hold 2 top-5 picks entering Week 13

With 11 games in the books, the 3-8 Jets are in line for two of the first five picks in the 2022 NFL draft.

Per NFL.com, New York has its own first-round selection at No. 4, with Seattle’s right behind it at No. 5 after the Seahawks dropped to 3-8 with a loss to Washington on Monday Night Football. The Jets own Seattle’s first-rounder thanks to the Jamal Adams trade.

The only teams currently slated to pick ahead of the Jets are the Lions (0-10-1), Jaguars (2-9) and Texans (2-9). New York plays Jacksonville in December.

The Jets broke back into the win column in Week 12, hanging on to defeat the Texans by a final score of 21-14. Zach Wilson didn’t play flawlessly in his return from a sprained PCL, but he scored the game-winning touchdown in the third quarter and worked as an efficient game manager in the closing minutes.

New York will have a legitimate chance to make it two in a row when the Eagles come to MetLife Stadium on Sunday. Philadelphia mustered just seven points against the 4-7 Giants and could be without quarterback Jalen Hurts, who is dealing with ankle soreness.
