Yes, That’s A 6,000-Pound Boombox Fish Tank

All Chicago Bulls guard Jimmy Butler wanted was a giant fish tank, in the shape of a vintage boombox, in the middle of his foyer.

Simple enough.

But apparently Butler was imagining something closer to the size of an actual boombox, because he freaks out upon seeing the finished fish tank, in turn freaking out Wayde King, who co-owns Acrylic Tank Manufacturing with the Brett Raymer, as he finishes installing the tank. These guys regularly make insane fish tanks like this one on the Animal Planet show “Tanked.”

The massive boombox fish tank contains a custom bubbler made to mimic an equalizer; 50 saltwater fish, in honor of the Bulls organization’s 50th anniversary; and a Jordan’s tuskfish, because obviously. Bluetooth speakers can play music on top of the tank, which is insulated to protect the fish.

In the world of celebrity athletes, this is all very normal.
