Sports Agent to Auction Home With Its Own Baseball Field

If you build it, will the buyers come?

Baseball agent Jonathan Weisz is betting on it. He’s been trying to sell his sporty property, complete with a “Field of Dreams”-style baseball field, for over a year now. First he listed it for $9.995 million, then knocked a million dollars off.

Now the home is headed to auction Feb. 23, with a starting bid of $3.2 million, according to the L.A. Times.

The three-story manse is spread over 12,764 square feet, and is accompanied by a guesthouse and an apartment over the property’s stables. Altogether there are nine bedrooms, 14 bathrooms and 18,000 square feet. The home also includes your standard luxury-living features: game room, media room, wine cellar, showroom-quality garage built for six cars, and outdoor entertainment pavilion.

The baseball diamond isn’t the only sports-related feature on this property in Poway, northeast of San Diego; you’ll also find a half-size basketball court, lighted batting cages, and horse facilities including stables, a riding corral and pastureland. The massive gym has an attached spa with its own waterfall, steam sauna, shower and oversize hot tub. The pool includes another waterfall, a slide and a lazy river.

Weisz bought two parcels in 2004 for $2.7 million to make the property, the L.A. Times wrote.
